Program overview :

The Micromaster program in Cybersecurity Forensics is a comprehensive 9-month part-time program, delivered in a flexible blended learning format, with a specialized focus on Cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance. This program integrates high-quality online courses and certifications from renowned institutions such as IBM and EC-Council. Additionally, participants benefit from dynamic instructor-led sessions that not only delve deeper into online content but also include immersive elements such as in-depth case studies, hands-on practice labs, and technical demonstrations. Participants who complete this program will master cybersecurity fundamentals, regulatory and governance frameworks, risk management, incident response and management, security auditing and assurance, ethical and legal considerations, and management and leadership skills. Program participants who successfully complete the Micromaster program will receive:

  • An “IBM Cybersecurity Analyst Certificate” from IBM.

  • A certificate of completion of the EC-Council Course on “Digital Forensics Essentials”

  • A MUST University – GTC Micromaster in Cybersecurity Governance and Compliance.

Dates Starts: March 16.   9 months. Advanced students can finish in 7 months. 6-8 hours a week: 3-4 hours of online self-paced study and 3-4 hours of instructor-led sessions.

Delivery model Sessions alternate between online material and practice sessions and project work. Hybrid delivery using online resources for self-pace learning (Coursera, EC-Council, MUST-authored content) followed by instructor-led practice sessions either on-campus or online.

Dr. Mohamed Hamdi

Director of Elgazala Innovation Center

Dr. Mohamed Hamdi (PhD, habilitation) is the founding director of Elgazala Innovation Center where he leads the supervision of innovative startup projects. He co-authored more than 150 scientific publications published in international journals and conferences. He was the chair of the ‘Cloud security’ industry forum in the IEEE ICC’12 conference (Ottawa, Canada). He has also chaired and co-chaired international conferences and special issues in international conferences including the ‘Trust, Security, and Privacy’ symposium in the IEEE IWCMC 2012 conference and for the special issue on ‘Web Services in Multimedia Communication’ for the journal on Advances in Multimedia. He presented multiple tutorials and invited speeches in international conferences such as the GEOSS Forum (Globecom 2011). In addition, Dr. Hamdi has been invited at the ITU World Telecom conference to serve as a panellist in a forum on the security of social networks. He also passed prestigious professional certifications including the CISSP and the CISCO Security certifications. He is conducting research activities in the areas of cloud security and assurance, Internet of things, and security incident handling. Between 2001 and 2005, he worked for the National Digital Certification Agency (Tunisia) where he was the leader of the security risk management team. An engineering graduate, specializing in information and network security, Ghazi has been involved in numerous large-scale information security audit and consulting assignments. He has played a key role in conducting and managing in-depth technical security assessments on a wide range of information systems components, including internal penetration testing, industrial systems, web and mobile applications, VoIP systems, IoT products, and thick clients. Additionally, he has also overseen large-scale organizational security audits, encompassing ISO 2700x compliance, security policies, and data center audits.
